All polish is the same.

All metal polish is not the same.

There are liquids, paste, solid bar stock, and others. Each type has a specific purpose or function. Some,(a lot) have solvents, amonia, and different types of abarasive.

Recently one abrasive, crystaline sillica has been classified in the same class as asbestos.

Most manufactures will not tell you what abrasive they use, so I recommend using an environmentaly safe product.

Liquids and pastes are both very similar and are excellent for hand polishing. Some are all purpose for any type of metal and some are specalized for use on only one or two items.

Bar stocks (AKA tripoli), are solid and used mostly for power buffing.
